Day Trippin
Booking & Payment Policy

This Day Trippin booking policy explains reservations, payments, cancellations, rescheduling, no-shows, weather and safety, refunds, and WaveWaive trip protection.

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Reservations & Payment

Reservations may be made and managed only by individuals age 18 or older. A person under 18 may not make or manage a reservation. An adult may include one or more minors as participants, subject to all applicable participation requirements and required parent or legal guardian authorization.

Advance reservations are required. Some Day Trippin experiences require a deposit at booking, while others may require payment in full. The amount due at booking will be clearly shown during checkout.

When a deposit is accepted, any remaining balance is due no later than the day of the scheduled adventure using an approved Day Trippin payment method.

Rescheduling

Plans change, and whenever possible we’d rather move your adventure than cancel it.

Each reservation may be rescheduled one time at no additional charge, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests must be received more than one hour before the scheduled meeting or start time.

A request made within one hour of the scheduled meeting or start time is considered a no-show and is subject to the No-Show Policy below.

IMPORTANT

Rescheduling does not reset the original cancellation terms. If a reservation is rescheduled after entering a cancellation window, those cancellation terms continue to apply if the rescheduled reservation is later canceled.

Cancellations Without WaveWaive

If WaveWaive was not added to your reservation, the following cancellation terms apply based on how much notice we receive before your scheduled meeting or start time.

MORE THAN 72 HOURS

Cruises & Fishing Guide Services

Payments made toward the adventure are refundable.

Non-Motorized Watercraft Rentals

Payments made toward the rental are refundable.

MORE THAN 24
HOURS TO 72 HOURS

Cruises & Fishing Guide Services

The booking deposit is forfeited. Any remaining trip payments are refunded.

Non-Motorized Watercraft Rentals

50% of the rental amount is refunded.

MORE THAN 1 HOUR TO 24 HOURS

Cruises & Fishing Guide Services

The booking deposit and paid add-ons are forfeited, and a 20% cancellation fee will be charged to the card on file.

Non-Motorized Watercraft Rentals

No refund is provided.

No-Show — 1 Hour or Less

A reservation is considered a no-show when a customer fails to arrive as scheduled or requests cancellation or rescheduling within one hour of the scheduled meeting or start time.

Cruises & Fishing Guide Services
Amounts already paid are forfeited, and any unpaid balance of the booked adventure will be charged to the card on file.

Non-Motorized Watercraft Rentals
No refund is provided.

No-shows are not eligible for complimentary rescheduling or WaveWaive protection.

Weather & Safety

Weather alone does not automatically cancel an adventure.

Day Trippin makes the final determination whether weather, water, and operating conditions are safe and suitable for each experience. When conditions may affect an adventure, we’ll work through the following options in order whenever practical.

1. ADJUST — UP TO 2 HOURS

When weather or safety conditions are expected to improve, Day Trippin may adjust the scheduled start time by up to two hours. A delay within this two-hour window is considered a schedule adjustment and does not constitute a cancellation or rescheduling of the adventure.

We may also adjust the route, launch location, or other operating details when appropriate.

For experiences tied to wildlife, natural conditions, or a specific time of day, adjustments will be made only when the revised timing remains reasonably suitable for the planned experience.

2. RESCHEDULE

If a safe and suitable start cannot be made within the two-hour adjustment window, we’ll work with you to reschedule the adventure to another available date or time.

3. DAY TRIPPIN CREDIT

If rescheduling doesn’t work, we’ll offer a Day Trippin Credit equal to 110% of eligible payments made toward the canceled adventure.

Weather and safety credits are transferable and may be gifted to a friend or family member. Credits are valid for 18 months from the date issued, have no cash value, and are not refundable once accepted. Transfer does not extend the expiration date, and the new adventure must take place before the credit expires.

4. REFUND

If Day Trippin cancels an adventure for weather or safety and you prefer not to reschedule or accept the enhanced Day Trippin Credit, eligible payments made toward the canceled adventure will be refunded to the original payment method.

IF DAY TRIPPIN CANCELS FOR UNSAFE CONDITIONS

If Day Trippin cancels your adventure and ultimately issues a refund, any WaveWaive fee purchased with that reservation will also be refunded in full.

If Day Trippin determines conditions remain safe and suitable for the adventure to operate, a customer’s decision not to participate is treated as a customer cancellation, and the applicable cancellation or WaveWaive terms apply.

Natural Conditions & Wildlife

Many Day Trippin experiences are built around nature, including sunsets, dark skies, meteor showers, wildlife, seasonal scenery, and other natural phenomena. We plan experiences around the best available timing and conditions, but Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate, and specific natural conditions, views, or wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Cloud cover may obscure a sunset, stars, or other sky events. Wildlife may not be present or visible. Fog, haze, seasonal changes, temperature, and other natural factors may also affect what guests see or experience.

If conditions remain safe and operable, the adventure will generally proceed even when a natural feature is less visible, different than expected, or not visible at all. Changes in natural conditions alone do not constitute a Day Trippin cancellation and do not automatically qualify a reservation for a refund, credit, or rescheduling.

WaveWaive — Flexible Trip Protection

Plans change. Go with the flow.

WaveWaive is optional cancellation protection offered by Day Trippin. Customers who purchase WaveWaive may cancel for any reason and receive a refund of eligible adventure charges and eligible unused add-ons when all WaveWaive requirements are met.

Qualifying Notice

To use WaveWaive, cancellation notice must be received:

  • At least 2 hours before the scheduled meeting or start time

  • During Day Trippin’s published Operating Hours

  • If the 2-hour deadline falls outside Operating Hours, by the end of the previous day’s Operating Hours

How to Cancel

WaveWaive cancellation notice must be made through Day Trippin’s main phone line by:

Call • Voicemail • Text

Contact forms, email, social media messages, and website chat do not qualify as WaveWaive cancellation notice.

What WaveWaive Does Not Cover

No-shows and cancellations made with less than the required notice are not covered by WaveWaive.

If Day Trippin Cancels for Unsafe Conditions

WaveWaive gives you added flexibility when your plans change. The WaveWaive fee is normally non-refundable. If Day Trippin cancels for unsafe conditions, you may reschedule or choose an enhanced Day Trippin Credit worth 110% of eligible trip payments, transferable and valid for 18 months. If you prefer a refund, your eligible trip payments — and your WaveWaive fee — will be refunded in full.

WaveWaive is not insurance.
